چکیده
Identifying generator coherency with respect to slow oscillatory modes has numerous power system use cases including dynamic model reduction, security analysis, or integrity protection schemes (e.g., islanding). Despite their popularity in both research and industry, classic eigenvector-based techniques may not always return accurate results. The multiple past endeavors improve accuracy often lack a solid mathematical foundation. Motivated by these deficiencies, we propose an alternative consistent approach coherency. Firstly, new is introduced accurately detect coherent generators effectively minimizing generic normalized cuts. As by-product, the can also guide choice of number groups. Secondly, it shown that combination proposed enhanced version inertial aggregation method allows produce equivalents even if selected groups relatively low.

Coherency Identification of Generators Using a PAM Algorithm for Dynamic Reduction of Power Systems
This paper presents a new coherency identification method for dynamic reduction of a power system. To achieve dynamic reduction, coherency-based equivalence techniques divide generators into groups according to coherency, and then aggregate them. In order to minimize the changes in the dynamic response of the reduced equivalent system, coherency identification of the generators should be clearl...

This paper presents a detailed analytical model development which can describe the dynamic behavior of the electromechanical brake-by-wire (BBW) system over the entire operating range. The complete model has 10 degree-of-freedom (DOF) and includes essential nonlinearities such as gear backlashes, Coulomb frictions, and disk gap clearance. Such a full model is reduced to 6 degree-of-freedom mode...
